Seeketing nodes: a step beyond iBeacons

Written by Seeketing.

The new generation of proximity devices run circles around the simple iBeacon, which spends its time listening instead of emiting.

iBeacons emit a weak signal, of 2.4 Ghz, which only phones with an App installed can identify. Moreover, for a device to communicate with an iBeacon, it's necessary that Bluetooth 4.0 (available on only a few smartphones or tablets) be turned on.

iBeacons for retailers

Written by Seeketing.

Beacons or iBeacons as we mentioned in the last article, are small devices, which emit short range signal via Bluetooth. It is a technology on which there is a lack of knowledge in the retail area, even being potentially attractive in this area.
